Chronology of cameras Krasnogorsk
This small Zorki is a 18 x 24 using the Rapid cartridges which is rare for a unit coming from the former Soviet bloc.
This is an automatic camera in line with the Zorki 10 and 11 but the architecture has been completely modified.
The machine is heavy as it was machined directly from a block of metal.
Ergonomics is not its strong point, and the settings and indications were distributed all around the body.
The aperture setting where the automatic mode and its control window are found is located on the lower right side.
The sensitivity can be adjusted from inside of the unit, but unlike most Rapid cartridge cameras, it is not the fact of the cartridge itself but the user does the setting via a small wheel in the compartment receiving the cartridge at left. The control window is outside, below the viewfinder eyepiece. There is no adjustment of the exposure time.
The frame counter is on top and the flash sync connector is on the front face but at the opposite from the accessory shoe.
The film winding and shutter cocking are using a knob on the back of the unit.
With 7200 units built, it is quite rare.
